UA Central LLC offers a simple yet powerful tool for managing any type of Unique Asset. Its leaders are Brad Davidson, founder of UA valuation firm Spardata; and Craig Cook, founder of Oakbrook Solutions, a consulting and services firm serving banks and trust companies, RIAs, and single and multi-family offices.

Brad Davidson

Brad Davidson is a thought leader in the trust industry on Unique Assets. Organizations that have invited him to lecture on UA-related topics include the Internal Revenue Service, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the North American Securities Administrators Association, the Department of Labor, the Federal Financial Institution Examination Council, the Federal Reserve, numerous state banking associations and the American Society of Pension Actuaries. He has been cited in the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and other publications. Davidson’s articles have been published in Trusts & Estates, the Appraisal Journal, Personal Financial Planning and other trade periodicals. He is an instructor with the Cannon Financial Institute.

From 1990 until 2017 Davidson was CEO of Securities Pricing and Research, Inc., a valuation firm specializing in valuing non-traditional investments. Clients include trust companies, commercial banks, law firms, accounting firms, Federal and state regulatory agencies, and individuals (typically UA owners).


Craig Cook

As co-founder and CEO of Oakbrook, Craig Cook has over 35 years of experience in technology-based solutions for wealth management providers and the asset-management industry, focusing on new product development for trust systems, investment management systems, and proprietary systems. He excels at analyzing, designing, and delivering application software-based solutions of varying scopes and sizes

The Network

The UA Manager app is architected around a three-step approach to UA management, and for those who prefer having others perform these tasks, UA Central maintains a network of experts ready to help:

  • Gathering documentation for a UA is tedious work that can take weeks or months to complete (and may fail anyway). At a client’s request UA Central uses contractors to track down the documents, store them in the “virtual file cabinet” and note their key features in the More tab. (Hourly fee charged.)
  • Management Plans are best prepared by Subject Matter Experts who have “been there, done that” and are prepared to manage the UA if asked. If a client requests a Plan UA Central will use its best efforts to identify potential SMEs (using professional referrals and/or web searches), and hire one to create a plan. (Flat fee charged.)
  • Execute the Plan. At a client’s request a Subject Matter Expert (usually the person who crafted the Management Plan) will manage the UA (for a fee established by the SME and approved in advance by the client).
